Mid Range Rifle

This 6-hour Mid-Range Precision Rifle/Hunting course at Frontline Defense Training Center in Warrenton, NC, is designed to sharpen your accuracy and decision-making from 25 to 500 yards. This course reinforces the fundamentals of marksmanship and field application.

What you'll learn:

• Confirming a 100-yard zero
• Basic ballistics and holdovers
• Range estimation for known and unknown distance targets
• Shooting positions: prone, kneeling, sitting, offhand, and barricade
• Equipment setup and optic selection
• Ethical shooting scenarios for real-world hunting applications

How it's delivered:
Hands-on instruction with live-fire drills and positional shooting. Accuracy and consistency are evaluated throughout.

Where and what you'll shoot:
Engage steel targets in natural terrain out to 500 yards. Instruction begins as close as 25 yards and moves progressively outward.

Gear & prep:

• Any caliber rifle (no XM193, XM855, AP, tracer, or incendiary)
• 1x–4x or 3x–9x magnified optics preferred; open sights allowed
• 100 rounds of ammo
• Sling, bipod (optional), optics (optional but recommended)
• Hat, hearing/eye protection, notebook, long pants, and weather-ready clothing

Special note:
Rifles must be zeroed at 100 yards. If not, arrive by 7:30 AM for zeroing before instruction.
